2026 Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid: Price, Specs & Features

News by Drivio | 18 Apr 2026

India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. officially announced the 2026 Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid in Chennai on April 16, 2026, marking a significant refresh for one of the country's most stylish commuter scooters. The updated lineup spans three variants — Drum, Disc, and S — priced at Rs. 76,500, Rs. 88,000, and Rs. 95,200, respectively (all ex-showroom). With a milestone of 1.5 million units produced since its initial launch, the Fascino's 2026 iteration arrives with refined styling and smarter technology to hold its ground in a fiercely competitive segment.

Design & Styling

The most visible update on the 2026 model is at the rear. The tail section now features a smaller taillight and separate turn indicators — a clear departure from the earlier integrated taillight-and-turn-indicator setup. The overall length has also been trimmed to 1,780mm, lending the scooter a more compact, contemporary silhouette. Crucially, these visual enhancements — including new decals — were conceptualized and executed entirely by Yamaha's in-house Indian R&D team. Colour options are generous: the S variant comes in Matte Grey and Matte Black, the Disc in Cool Blue Metallic, Dark Matte Blue, and Metallic Light Green, while the Drum variant is offered in Metallic White, Metallic Black, and Vivid Red.

Engine & Hybrid Performance

The Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid continues to draw power from a 125cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected Blue Core engine delivering 8.2 PS at 6,500 rpm and 10.3 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The defining element, however, remains its Smart Motor Generator (SMG) hybrid system. The SMG works alongside the Silent Start system, Stop & Start System (SSS), and Enhanced Power Assist to deliver stronger acceleration during initial movement, load carrying, and incline climbing — all while maintaining superior fuel efficiency. The result is an ARAI-claimed mileage of 68.75 kmpl and a top speed of approximately 90 kmph — figures that make it one of the most fuel-efficient 125cc hybrid scooters currently on sale in India.

Technology & Features

The top-spec Fascino S raises the bar on tech. It now sports a colour TFT instrument cluster featuring turn-by-turn navigation and an 'Answer Back' function — features rarely seen at this price point. The base and mid variants retain a Bluetooth-enabled digital console compatible with Yamaha's Motorcycle Connect X app.

Verdict

The 2026 Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid is a calculated, confidence-driven update rather than an overhaul. In the Indian market, it competes directly with the Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Honda Activa 125, and Hero Destini 125 — yet its hybrid powertrain, class-leading efficiency, and India-designed aesthetics give it a distinct edge. For urban commuters who demand style, frugality, and proven reliability in a single package, the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid at Rs. 76,500 remains one of the most compelling propositions in the 125cc scooter segment today.
