KTM 160 Duke with TFT Display Launched at ₹1.79 Lakh
by | 22 Dec 2025
KTM has expanded its popular 160 Duke lineup in India with a new variant featuring a full-colour 5-inch TFT display, priced at ₹1.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This update brings modern connectivity and navigation tech from the brand’s larger bikes to the sub-200 cc naked segment, enhancing the ride experience without altering the motorcycle’s core performance and hardware.
Engine & Performance
At its heart, the KTM 160 Duke is powered by a 164.2 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces around 18.7–19 PS of power and 15.5 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. This powertrain retains KTM’s characteristic punchy performance in the premium 150-160 cc streetfighter class, delivering strong acceleration and a keen power-to-weight ratio that suits both city and highway riding.
The mechanical package, including the steel trellis frame, telescopic front forks and rear monoshock suspension, remains unchanged on the TFT variant, ensuring the same agile handling and stability that the 160 Duke is known for. Braking duties continue to be handled by disc brakes at both ends with ABS functionality for confidence-inspiring stops.
Chassis & Handling
Built on KTM’s signature split trellis frame, the 160 Duke strikes a balance between nimble city manoeuvrability and composed performance on open roads. The lightweight structure contributes to its sharp turn-in and communicative feel, making it enjoyable for enthusiastic riders and commuters alike. The suspension setup absorbs road irregularities well while maintaining a sporty stance, a trait that has helped the 160 Duke stand out among rivals like the Yamaha MT-15 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
Technology & Features
The headline feature of the updated model is the 5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster, borrowed from the Gen-3 KTM 390 Duke range. This display offers Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation via the KTM My Ride app, music control, and incoming call alerts — functions that were previously seen mainly on higher-end bikes. The TFT unit is paired with four-way handlebar switches for intuitive interaction and supports customisable display themes and Supermoto-ABS mode.
This addition elevates the rider interface significantly over the standard LCD screen, making tech features more accessible and enhancing the overall user experience for tech-savvy riders.
Conclusion
The KTM 160 Duke with TFT display strengthens its appeal in the fiercely competitive premium 150-160 cc segment by combining a proven performance package with modern connected technology. With its aggressive styling, strong engine character, and now a rich TFT interface with navigation and Bluetooth features, it caters to riders seeking a contemporary streetfighter that doesn’t compromise on engagement or tech value. At ₹1.79 lakh (ex-showroom), this variant offers a compelling blend of performance, features, and everyday usability — making it a standout choice for young enthusiasts and tech-oriented commuters alike.
