Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 To Be Positioned Below The Dominar 400

News by Team Drivio | Apr 27, 2024

Bajaj Auto is eyeing a price tag below the Rs 2 lakh mark, making it more affordable than the Dominar 400, which is priced at Rs 2.30 lakh.

  • The new Pulsar NS400 will get the Dominar’s 373.2cc engine and not the new 399cc engine from the KTM 390 Duke or Triumph Speed 400.
  • The chassis and suspension setup might be shared with the Pulsar NS200, with the possibility of having larger brakes and wider tyres.
  • The new Pulsar 400 will be launched on May 3, 2024.

Following the updates of all the models in the existing Pulsar range, Bajaj Auto is now gearing up to launch the biggest and most powerful Pulsar yet, the all-new Pulsar NS400. To be launched on May 3, the new Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will be positioned below the flagship motorcycle from Bajaj Auto, the Dominar 400.

It indicates that Bajaj Auto is eyeing a price point below the Rs 2 lakh mark, making it more affordable than the Bajaj Dominar 400 and rivalling the likes of motorcycles like Hero Maverick and the upcoming Royal Enfield 450cc roadster.

Contrary to what is being believed till now, the upcoming new Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will be sharing its liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 373.2cc engine with the Dominar 400, and not the all-new 399cc engine of either the KTM 390 Duke or Triumph Speed 400. Compared to the Dominar 400, the engine will be tuned to suit the overall aggressive character of the Pulsar NS400, with an estimated power output of nearly 40 bhp.

The new Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is believed to get an evolved form of the streetfighter-inspired design language of the Pulsar NS200, with mildly restyled body panels and new graphics. To keep costs in check, Bajaj Auto might share the steel perimeter frame, upside-down front fork and rear mono-shock with the Pulsar NS200. However, given the additional performance, the new Pulsar NS400 might get wider tyres and larger disc brakes at both ends.
