Fastest Growing Electric 2W Companies

Several brands saw explosive growth to compete with the top selling electric bikes. E-Sprinto recorded the highest percentage growth at 792.97%, selling 12,582 units.

River EV also expanded rapidly. The company sold 22,354 units, achieving a 426.35% YoY increase. Simple Energy grew by 319.30%, while Hero Vida firmly established itself as a rising star with a 196.13% growth and 1,44,330 units sold.

Declining Sales for Former Leaders

The biggest market shift involved the Ola Electric sales decline. Once the undisputed top selling electric scooter brand, Ola saw sales plummet from 3,44,300 units in FY25 to just 1,64,295 units in FY26. This 52.28% drop pushed the company down to fourth place. Revolt, a prominent electric bike maker, also faced a 9.71% sales drop, moving 10,444 units.

Conclusion

The FY26 sales data clearly shows that Indian consumers are choosing established legacy brands for their EV purchases. TVS and Bajaj now manufacture the top selling electric scooters in the country, leveraging strong service networks and reliable products. As the market matures, sustained growth will require brands to focus heavily on after-sales support and technological consistency.
