2023 Honda CB200X Launched In India At Rs1,46,999

News by Team Drivio | 20 Sep 2023

Now slightly more expensive than before, the new Honda CB200X is BS6.2 and OBD2 compliant but carries the same core specifications as before.

  • The new CB200X now features a slip-and-assist clutch.
  • At Rs 1,46,999 (ex-showroom Delhi), the revised price is Rs 2,499 higher than the bike’s initial launch price.
  • The 2023 Honda CB200X retains its 184.40cc single-cylinder engine, still delivering 17.26PS of power and 16Nm of torque.

The 2023 Honda CB200X has undergone similar changes as the 2023 Hornet 2.0, which isn’t too surprising considering that it’s based on the latter. These include the addition of the slip-and-assist clutch and compliance with the BS6.2 and OBD2 standards.

The launch of the 2023 Honda CB200X saw the bike’s price rise by Rs 2,499 compared to the price at which it was originally launched in 2021. Besides the compliance with the updated emission standards, the 184.40cc single-cylinder engine is the same as before with similar power and torque output. The bike also retains its 5-speed gearbox and USD fork and mono-shock suspension setup.

The all-digital LCD instrument console is unchanged too, with readouts for the speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, tachometer, gear position indicator, twin trip meters, and a clock. The front and rear wheels retain the 276mm and 220mmpetal disc brakes respectively, and the bike is still equipped with single-channel ABS.

Unfortunately, the new Honda CB200X doesn’t live up to the expectations of bike enthusiasts, who hoped for greater improvements like Bluetooth connectivity, long-travel suspension, and a 19-inch front wheel.
