2023 KTM 390 Adventure Launched: Becomes More Off-road Oriented

The WP Apex suspension is picked straight off the international bike.

• All this comes for an extra Rs 21,254. 

The most expensive model of the 390 Adventure from KTM costs Rs 3,60,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and boasts spoke wheels and adjustable suspension. As a result, it is Rs 21,254 more expensive than the regular variant. 

In terms of equipment and powertrain, the spoke wheel variant is the same as the standard variant. Instead of the same-sized alloy wheels, the 19-/17-inch spoke wheels should now provide riders a little more assurance on the tough terrain. This is so that they can absorb impacts better than more rigid alloy wheels.

Additionally, by allowing the rider to change the suspension according to the terrain and their weight, the preload and rebound-adjustable fork and mono-shock will let the rider further develop their off-road experience. Both are WP Apex units, with the front having a 30-step preload and rebound adjustability and the rear having a 20-step rebound and 10-step preload adjustable. 

The top-end model has a brand-new KTM Rally Orange paint scheme.  It also has Continental TKC 70 tubed tyres instead of the Metzeler Tourance ones used on the basic bike, which is unexpected given that it increases unsprung mass and makes punctures more problematic.

The 373.2cc engine in KTM's three 390 Adventure models, each of which produces 43PS and 37Nm, is already available for purchase. The base variant costs Rs 3.38 lakh and features a TFT instrument console that is compatible with smartphones, an 855mm seat height, 200mm ground clearance (the spoke wheel variant also has these features), switchable traction control, cornering ABS, and a quickshifter.
