2025 Suzuki Avenis Becomes More Accessible with New Standard Edition Launch
New Delhi, India – May 20, 2025 – Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has made its sporty 125cc scooter, the Avenis, more affordable with the quiet launch of a new 2025 Suzuki Avenis Standard Edition. Priced at ₹91,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi), this new variant makes the Avenis line-up more accessible to a wider range of customers. The key change that contributes to the lower price point is the omission of the brand's 'Ride Connect' Bluetooth connectivity feature.
This newly introduced Standard Edition is now the most affordable option in the Avenis family, undercutting the previously available Standard (Ride Connect equipped) variant by approximately ₹1,800. The Avenis with Ride Connect and the Special Edition, which were updated with OBD-2B compliance in March 2025, are priced at around ₹93,200 and ₹94,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
Despite the reduction in price, the 2025 Avenis Standard Edition retains the sporty design and peppy performance characteristic of the Avenis range. Importantly, it features the updated OBD-2B compliant 124.3cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine. This fuel-injected engine, equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology, continues to deliver a lively 8.7 PS of power at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, paired with a smooth CVT.
Commenting on the new variant, Mr. Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., stated, “The launch of the OBD-2B compliant Suzuki Avenis Standard Variant reflects our focus on delivering products that meet the latest environmental standards without compromising on style, performance, or convenience. It is a great choice for riders looking for a reliable and stylish scooter.”
While it forgoes the Bluetooth-enabled digital console with turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, and other app-based features found in the Ride Connect variants, the new Avenis Standard Edition is still well-equipped. It boasts:
- Sporty Styling: Sharp, aggressive lines with motorcycle-inspired graphics.
- LED Lighting: Bright LED headlamp and sleek LED tail lamp.
- Digital Instrument Cluster: Provides essential information like speed, fuel level, trip meters, oil change indicator, and battery voltage.
- Convenience Features: USB charging socket in the front box, external hinge-type fuel filler cap, 21.8-litre under-seat storage, one-push central locking with shuttered key system, integrated engine start/stop switch with Suzuki Easy Start System, and a side-stand interlock.
- Comfort and Practicality: Spacious floorboard, comfortable step seat, and split grab rails.
The underpinnings remain the same, with telescopic front suspension and a swingarm-type monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, supplemented by a Combined Braking System (CBS).
The 2025 Suzuki Avenis Standard Edition is available in four attractive colour options, similar to the Ride Connect variant:
- Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Mira Red
- Champion Yellow No. 2 / Glossy Sparkle Black
- Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Glacier White
- Glossy Sparkle Black
This strategic move by Suzuki aims to make the Avenis a more competitive offering in the popular 125cc sporty scooter segment, where it rivals the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Dio 125, Yamaha RayZR 125, and Hero Maestro Edge 125. The new Standard Edition is now available at Suzuki dealerships across India.
