All-new Ather 450S launched in India at Rs 1.30 lakh, updated Ather 450X also launched

The new Ather 450S features two trims to choose from

After variously shots and good amount of hide and seek, the Ather Energy has finally launched the new Ather 450S electric scooter in India. Priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom), the Ather 450S becomes the cheapest scooter in the entire Ather line-up. Besides this, the Bangalore-based electric scooter maker also updated the hot selling variants of the Ather 450X.The Ather 450X variants cost around Rs 1.37 lakh and Rs 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

The awaited Ather 450S is offered in two trims Core and Probity is bundled with sleek LED taillight, curvy front cowl, LED headlamp, which add to its aesthetic appeal. On the other side, some cost cutting aspects include non-touch LCD display, joystick-equipped switchgear and others.

The robust belt-drive motor give out a peak power of 7.24 bhp and a torque of 22 Nm. TheAther 450S can be accelerated up to a top speed of 90 kmph. It offers three riding modes namely, Sport, Eco and Ride.

It is packed with a 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery unit that can be enough to cover a distance of about 115 km on a single charge.All the three Ather models feature disc brakes at the front as well as rear wheels and modern Combi Braking System (CBS) for safe and efficient halt.
