Bajaj Auto has brought back the Bajaj Pulsar 220F on high demand in certain regions of the country.
- Bookings for the Bajaj Pulsar 220F have started at select dealerships
- The Pulsar 220F bridges the gap between the Pulsar NS160 and the Pulsar NS200
- Bajaj aims to make the most of the bike before the OBD 2 norms kick in from April 1, 2023
What does the Bajaj Pulsar 220F have to offer?
What the Bajaj Pulsar 220F had to offer was an exciting motor and numerous segment-first features, which, along with its sporty styling, set many hearts racing. But as time went on and new technology emerged, the Pulsar 220F was unable to keep up with its contemporaries, leading to its discontinuation.
However, relaunching it now is an attempt from the Chakan-based manufacturer to make the most out of the bike’s following before the OBD 2 norms kick in from April 1, 2023
What the new laws require is for vehicles to meet emissions requirements in actual driving situations, not just under controlled laboratory circumstances and it’s unlikely that Bajaj will introduce an OBD 2-compliant engine for the 220F.
So if you want to grab this bike for the very last time, bookings for the 220F have commenced at select dealerships and its booking amount ranges from Rs 500 to Rs 5,000. The Pulsar F250 does make a more compelling case for itself if you’re looking for a more contemporary bike. But, this is probably your last opportunity to own the iconic Pulsar 220F if you are still in awe of it.
What are the new updates on the Bajaj Pulsar 220F?
In its latest iteration, the cult motorcycle will likely continue to be powered by the same 220cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder with 20.5PS and 18.55Nm, without any significant modifications. Its foundation and design will remain the same, but Bajaj could attempt to modernise its appearance with some new graphics.
