
Greaves Electric Mobility introduces Ampere Primus and Zeal EX electric scooters in India

The new models that come with a host of features and performance-oriented batteries, will cement the position of the company in the space.

The electric division of Greaves Cotton Limited, Greaves Electric Mobility, has launched a new e-scooter Ampere Primus. The company has also updated its entry-level offering Zeal EX. Both these vehicles will play a crucial role in strengthening the brand’s position in the segment.
What all new Ampere Primus has to offer?
The Ampere Primus is a premium-level electric scooter that features a mid-mounted motor with a max power output of 4kW, coupled with a 3kWh lithium-ion battery. The combination offers a range of 107km on a full charge when driven in Power mode, while the Eco mode will provide more range.
The scooter claims to reach a top speed of up to 77kmph and can sprint from 0-40kmph in 5 seconds. The battery takes 5 hours to juice up completely. The Primus boasts a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and phone notification alerts via the Ampere app.
The Primus is available in four matte body paints – Royal Orange, Himalayan White, Buck Black and Havelock Blue.
What are the new updates of Ampere Zeal EX e-scooter?
The Zeal EX has been updated with a tweaked 1.8kWh motor, and 2.3kWh lithium-ion battery, claiming a top speed of 55kmph and a decent 120km range. The Ampere Zeal gets new color options, including Stone Grey and Indigo Blue.
