Harley-Davidson X440 Deliveries To Begin From Oct 15, Bookings To Resume

The following day of the delivery i.e. October 16 will mark the opening of the bookings of the Harley-Davidson X440

• The X440 was launched on July 3 with three variants 
• It is the maiden product of the Hero and Harley-Davidson venture in India
• Harley-Davidson X440to get dearer by Rs 10,500 across all variants 

The deliveries for the Harley-Davidson X440 will start from October 15 in the country. The delivery date coincides with the first day of the Navratri festival and also marks the beginning of the festive season in India. Due to the overwhelming response after its launch, Harley suspended the bookings of Harley-Davidson X440 in August 2023. The company stated that the booking window will resume from October 16 onwards. It competes with the likes of Triumph Speed 400, Royal Enfield Classic 350, and others.

On July 3, the Hero and Harley-Davidson collaboration introduced the Harley-Davidson X440in India. Priced at a tempting (introductory) Rs 2.29-2.69 lakh (ex-showroom), the bookings for the roadster bike were closed on August 3 sighting massive booking numbers within a month. The smallest capacity Harley bike is being manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s Neemrana facility located in Rajasthan.

The test rides for the customers, who previously booked the Harley Roadster have been going on since September 1 in a phased process. Right now, the bookings are on hold and will be resumed from October 16 onwards with an upward revision in its price. The introductory price announced at the time of the Harley-Davidson X440 launch was restricted for a month’s time. 

At present, the three trims of Harley-Davidson X440 are priced at Rs 2.4 lakh for Denim, Rs. 2.6 lakh for Vivid and Rs. 2.8 lakh for, all prices ex-showroom. However, when the bookings will resume from October 16 onwards it will get pricier by Rs 10,500 against the introductory price on each variant.

The Harley-Davidson X440 is offered with a 440cc engine that is capable of generating 27 bhp (power) and 38 Nm (torque) remains intact across the variant line-up. Other notable attributes include LED headlights, rear twin shock absorbers, TFT instrument screen with Bluetooth connectivity, wire-spoke/alloy wheels choice, USD front forks, disc brake, etc.
