Harley-Davidson X440 Prices Reduced — New ₹2.34 Lakh Entry for 2025

by | 8 Dec 2025

The iconic Harley‑Davidson X440 has just become more accessible: the manufacturer has slashed prices across variants, positioning X440 as an even stronger value-oriented cruiser in India. The reduced pricing—alongside a refreshed lineup—makes the X440 a compelling option for riders seeking the Harley spirit without a steep price tag.

Engine & Performance

Powered by a 440 cc, air-oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, X440 produces a healthy 27 BHP (approx) at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
This powertrain gives ample low- and mid-range torque — ideal for both city commutes and highway cruising. The broad, flat handlebar and light motorcycle weight (around 190–192 kg) help translate engine output into usable real-world performance, ensuring manageable clutch and throttle control typical of long-stroke cruisers.

Chassis & Handling

The X440 shares a cruiser-styled chassis with a wide handlebar and relaxed ergonomics — a design inspired by classic street-cruisers but tuned for Indian roads. Suspension duties include an upside-down front fork and dual rear shocks, which strike a balance between ride comfort and control — making X440 well-suited for varied conditions, from city traffic to occasional long rides.

Braking setup features a front disc (320 mm) and rear disc (240 mm), backed by dual-channel ABS, ensuring safe stopping performance typical for the segment.

Technology & Features

Even as an entry-level Harley cruiser, the X440 offers several features often absent in its price bracket. A 3.5-inch TFT digital display with Bluetooth connectivity delivers turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and ride-data notifications.

Lighting is full-LED, including a projector headlamp with DRLs, plus LED tail lamp and indicators—offering good visibility and contemporary styling. Alloy wheels (in most variants) and tubeless tyres further elevate its practicality over traditional spoke-wheel cruisers. The fuel tank holds 13.5 litres, giving a claimed fuel efficiency of ~35 km/l under WMTC cycle.

With the fresh 2025 pricing cut, the variant lineup now starts at a more attractive point — making these features more accessible than before.

What’s New: Price Drop & Lineup Change

Recent updates trimmed ex-showroom prices across the range. The mid-variant now starts at ₹ 2,34,500 (Vivid), while the “S” trim comes in at ₹ 2,54,900. The earlier base “Denim” variant has been discontinued.

These reductions, amounting to roughly ₹ 25,000 in some cases, reflect the brand’s intent to make the X440 more competitive in the ₹2–3 lakh cruiser/roadster market in India.

Conclusion

The Harley-Davidson X440 stands out as a rare offering: a 440 cc cruiser with real Harley heritage (built in partnership with a local manufacturer), torquey engine, balanced chassis, modern features, and now — a more attractive price tag.

With the recent price reduction and trimmed-down variant lineup, X440 becomes an even stronger choice for riders seeking a stylish, manageable, and affordable entry into the Harley universe — ideal for first-time big-bike buyers or those wanting a manageable urban/light-touring cruiser with the Harley badge.
