With its seventh bike launch in two months, HMSI is set to challenge its arch-rival Hero MotoCorp in the premium commuter motorcycle segment.

  • This limited-edition motorbike will be available at Honda Red Wing dealerships.
  • Priced at Rs 90,567, it’s about Rs 1,000 costlier than the disk brake trim.
  • The bike runs on a similar 123.94cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the regular SP 125.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched a limited edition Sports variant of the SP 125 premium commuter bike just ahead of the festive season. Priced at Rs. 90,567 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the bike mostly features visual changes over the standard variant. Alongside the bolder graphics all over its body panels, the SP 125 Sports Edition also comes with a matte-finished exhaust muffler.

The engine and the performance specs remain unchanged in the Sports variant. The bike features the same 123.94cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which generates up to 10.7bhp of power and 10.9Nm of peak torque. It’s paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The 18-inch alloy wheels feature telescopic fork suspensions and dual springs at the front and the rear respectively.

The SP 125 Sports Edition is offered in two colour options - Decent Blue Metallic and Heavy Grey Metallic. You can also choose between the disc and drum braking setup and a more affordable variant with two drum brakes. The bike will be available for a limited period at Honda Red Wing dealerships across the country.
