Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is back with these changes.

The new Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 will be based on the Vitpilen 250, with both motorcycles sharing their engine, chassis, and equipment.

• It will get the same single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 249cc engine from the Vitpilen 250 and KTM Duke 250.
• It is likely to be priced similar to the Vitpilen 250. 
• The new Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 will share its bodywork with the more-powerful Svarpilen 401.

A few weeks after launching the all-new Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 250 in the Indian two-wheeler market, Husqvarna is now planning to introduce the 250cc Svartpilen in India. The all-new Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is currently undergoing a homologation process in the country, indicating its launch is just around the corner. 

Based on the already-on-sale Vitpilen 250, the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 will share its bodywork with the more-powerful Svartpilen 401. However, the new Svartpilen 250 will get the same single-cylinder, 250cc engine that powers the Vitpilen 250 and the new KTM Duke 250 – expectedly in the same state of tune. 

The leaked homologation document also shows that the Svartpilen 250 will share its dimensions with the Vitpilen 250, measuring 2,071 mm long and 807 mm wide, while being taller with a height of 1,042 mm.

Along with the same WP-sourced suspension and disc brakes at both ends, the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 will share the full-LCD 5-inch instrument console with the Vitpilen 250. Other features expected to be present in the new Svartpilen 250 are backlit switchgear, assist and slipper clutch, ride-by-wire system, Bluetooth connectivity, traction control, USB charging socket, and dual-channel ABS. The new Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is likely to be priced similarly to the new Vitpilen 250 at Rs 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
