India’s first geared electric motorcycle will be available in two variants i.e. Aera5,000 and Aera5,000+.

The Ahmedabad-based electric vehicle start-up Matter Motor has revealed that their upcoming electric bike has received 40,000 bookings. According to the EV firm, these whopping numbers have been achieved in less than a month for the start-up. The biggest unique aspect of the bike is that the Aerae-motorcycle will feature a manual gearbox, which makes it India’s first-ever geared electric bike.

Moreover, providing further convenience to its customers, Matter Motor has collaborated with Flipkart and OTO Capital. Here, people can easily pre-book their favourite electric bike within few clicks.

The pre-booking for Aera 5000 and Aera 5000+ has been kept quite nominal. The interested buyers are required to pay a token booking amount of Rs 999.

The promising e-motorcycle Aera is made available in two variants that is Aera 5,000 and Aera5,000+. Here, the Aera 5000 is tagged at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Aera 5000+ is labelled at Rs 1.54 lakh (ex-showroom). The customers who made pre-bookings will be the first to avail the Aera 5000/5000+ deliveries across country.

The two variants on offer come with a similar electric power motor and a 5 kWh battery pack. The two variants can do a 0-60 kmph in merely 6 seconds. Moreover, Aera 5,000 and Aera 5,000+ features a claimed range of 125 km, while it takes 5 hours to completely charge the battery. Whereas, with designated fast charger it takes less than 2 hours.
