Continuing its string of new bike launches, Royal Enfield Himalayan has introduced the 2023 version of the popular Himalayan adventure tourer in India at a price tag of Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model receives several changes over its predecessor to enhance capability and appeal. The refreshed Himalayan 

The new Himalayan is powered by the same 452cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine producing 39.5hp and 40Nm, mated to a 6-speed transmission.

Highlights of the New Royal Enfield Himalayan

Arriving in an attractive new Pine Green color scheme paired with granite highlights, the refreshed Himalayan brings with it the addition of a switchable dual-channel ABS system this year. This enables riders to toggle between dual-channel and rear ABS settings as needed.

Other changes have been made to its chassis and suspension setup with the aim of improving stability and rough road rideability, according to the company. The braking hardware has also been worked on for better feel and performance.

The latest model will retail alongside existing Himalayan color options: Granite Black, Mirage Silver, Pine Green, Gravel Grey, and Rock Red. Customers can book it for a token amount of Rs 10,000 across Royal Enfield dealerships pan-India.

Updated Himalayan Takes on Rivals

The refreshed Himalayan will renew its rivalry against the likes of the KTM 250 Adventure and BMW G 310 GS in the rapidly growing domestic ADV space. While maintaining competitive pricing, the new changes are likely to help the model consolidate its position as an accessible yet highly capable adventure tourer.

This latest update also indicates Royal Enfield's commitment to keeping its models fresh and relevant in a dynamic market. More upgrades to existing motorcycles and all-new offerings across segments can be expected from the homegrown bikemaker going forward.
