Oben Rorr Electric Motorcycle Deliveries Commence In India

To begin with, the company has delivered 25 Oben Rorr motorcycles in Bengaluru.

Oben Electric, a Bengaluru-based promising electric vehicle start-up has initiated the deliveries of its first electric bike, the Oben Rorr in the country. According to the EV firm, it delivered the first batch of 25 units of the Oben Rorr in the Karnataka capital. The cool-looking electric motorcycles were delivered to the customers at an event on Sunday, 9 July, 2023. 

The event took place at the EV manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. As a noble gesture, Oben Electric presented the first 25 Rorr owners with its branded merchandise. The Oben Rorr EV has been the talk of the town since it was launched on 15 March, last year.   

The new Oben Rorr can achieve a 0 to 40km/h acceleration in mere three seconds, and boasts a top speed of 100km/h. It receives an IDC range of 187km on 100 percent electric charge. In terms of warranty, it receives a 50,000 kilometre or three-year warranty and three free services for the initial year. 

Interestingly, the warranty can be extended to five years or 75,000km, whichever falls first. Further, to ensure peace of mind to its customers, Oben Electric offers free roadside assistance and more than 12,000 battery refilling/charging stations.

Priced at Rs 1,49,999, the Oben Rorr electric bike is set to contest against the ICE-powered 150cc counterparts bikes in the nation. As per the company, it has 21,000 pre-orders for this electric motorcycle, for which the EV brand is extending its manufacturing capacity. Oben Electric aims to open showrooms and service centres across India.
