Ola S1 Air Bookings Open, Manages To Draw 3,000 Bookings In No Time

The purchase window is open at present for only for reservers and S1 community members till July 30.

Leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Ola Electric has announced the opening of purchase window for the Ola S1 Air at anintroductory price of Rs 1.09 lakh. The opening of the purchase window brought overwhelming response with 3,000 bookings taking place in a matter of few hours. The information was shared on twitter by Bhavish Aggarwal, co-founder and CEO - Ola Electric.

The start of the booking was supposed to happen a day later i.e. on July 29, however in a surprise move, it was opened a day prior specifically for the S1 community members and reservers. The introductory price of Rs 1.09 lakh(ex-showroom) will change to Rs 1.19 lakh(ex-showroom) after the end of introductory period. The deliveries of the new S1 Air will began in a period of 10-15 days after the booking window opens for all. 

The S1 Air variant uses the similar platform as the S1 Pro, however receives many cost-cutting features. And this includes a smaller battery pack with reduced power of 3kWh and hence a trimmed range of 125km per charge.It will be packed with a 4.5 kW hub (6bhp), and will reach the 0-40kmph mark in 3.3 secs along with a top speed of 90kmph.The new S1 Air will be up against the likes of low-cost TVS iQubevariantand the Ather 450S, both will see the launch in August.
