Developed over six years, the new Mantis EV is the first electric two-wheeler from Bengaluru-based Orxa Energies.

  • The 8.9kWh battery pack of the Mantis EV claims a 221 km riding range.

Orxa Energies, a Bengaluru-based startup of electric two-wheelers, has launched its first product in the Indian market, the Mantis electric motorcycle. Developed over six years, the new Orxa Mantis EV has been priced at Rs 3.60 lakh. The deliveries of the electric bike is set to commence in April 2024.

The Orxa Mantis electric motorcycle has a distinctive appearance with twin LED projector headlamps and daytime running LEDs at the front. The motorcycle also gets a 5-inch full-TFT instrument console which operates on Linux OS, equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and a side stand sensor. 

With minimal bodywork all around, the Mantis EV is equipped with 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. With 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, the braking setup of the Mantis EV consists of a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear. 

The Orxa Mantis EV will be offered in a single variant, which will be provided with a 1.3kW regular charger as standard. However, the battery will be compatible with up to 3.3kW fast charging. 

Orxa Mantis EV Bookings

Orxa Energies has started accepting bookings for the Mantis EV for Rs 10,000, with the deliveries of the motorcycle set to begin in April 2024.
