Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Debuts At ‘Motoverse’, Goes On Sale With 25 Limited-Edition Units

News by Team Drivio | 27 Nov 2023

Priced at Rs 4.25 lakh for the initial limited-edition units, the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 gets a more roadster-like stance.

  • All the initial 25 units of Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will feature custom paint jobs and are on sale only for the Motoverse 2023 visitors.
  • The new Shotgun 650 gets the same 648cc parallel-twin engine as in the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 and Super Meteor 650.
  • The new motorcycle features chopped fenders, a new headlamp cowl, and a straighter handlebar.

After announcing the prices of the new Himalayan 450 at its annual event “Motoverse” in Goa, Royal Enfield pulled off a surprise by launching a new motorcycle at the same event, the Shotgun 650. The new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is the fourth motorcycle based on the brand’s 650cc platform.

Currently, Royal Enfield is offering only 25 units of factory-custom Shotgun 650, each of which features distinctive paint jobs that are exclusively on sale at Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for only those who are at the ongoing ‘Motoverse’ annual fest. However, the production-spec Shotgun 650 will get different regular paint schemes once it officially launches in the coming days.

The new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 shares its frame, lights suspension setup, and 648cc parallel-twin engine with the Super Meteor 650. However, the new motorcycle gets significant visual changes, including a new headlamp cowl, twin peashooter-type exhaust pipes, and slightly redesigned body panels. The new Shotgun 650 will be offered as a double-seater motorcycle with an easily removable pillion seat to give it a single-seater look.
