Available in four colour options, the price of the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 goes up to Rs 3.73 lakh.

  • The new Shotgun 650 is available as a single-seater motorcycle, with the option of a pillion seat or luggage rack for the buyers.
  • It gets the familiar parallel-twin, 648cc engine from the other middleweight Royal Enfield motorcycles.
  • The suspension and brake setups come from the Super Meteor 650, though it has a distinctive set of 18-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless tyres.

Royal Enfield has silently launched the Shotgun 650 in the Indian two-wheeler market. Introduced in four colour options – Sheet Metal Grey, Drill Green, Plasma Blue and Stencil White, the new Shotgun 650 has been priced between Rs 3.59 lakh and Rs 3.73 lakh. It is the fourth motorcycle from Royal Enfield in its 650cc middleweight lineup, after the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 and Super Meteor 650.

Based on the platform of Super Meteor 650, the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is an unconventional single-seater motorcycle that looks like a balance between a naked roadster, bobber and traditional cruiser. It gets the same air-cooled, parallel-twin, 648cc engine, though, unlike others, the engine casing here is finished in a theme of gloss black. The bike comes with a single seat as standard, though buyers will have the option of installing a pillion seat or luggage rack at the rear.

Apart from the engine, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 shares its Showa suspension, 320mm front and 300mm rear disc brakes with the Super Meteor 650. However, it has a unique combination of 100/90-18 front and 150/70 R17 rear tubeless tyres over alloy wheels.
