While the festive season is already approaching, these updates from the two-wheeler industry in October's first week are only fuelling the excitement. 

  • Deliveries of Harley-Davidson X440 and Hero Karizma XMR to begin this month
  • BMW has launched the maniacal M 1000 R with a starting price of Rs 33 lakh. 
  • Royal Enfield Classic 650 and more affordable Bajaj Chetak spied during trial runs. 

With the festive season inching closer, the Indian two-wheeler industry is warming up with events, including new product launches, updates to the current models and spotting of upcoming motorcycles and scooters. 

Here are all the events which occurred in the Indian two-wheeler industry in the first week of October 2023:

Deliveries of Harley-Davidson X440 – 

Harley-Davidson will start delivering the X440 motorcycles to all those who have booked the motorcycle from October 15. Harley-Davidson opened the bookings for the X440 at Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). New booking window will open from October 16 onwards.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 spied – 

Among all the motorcycles that Royal Enfield is testing in secrecy, the Classic 650 has been spied in its full glory. Going by the visuals of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 spied, the motorcycle looks inspired by the Royal Enfield Classic 350 while getting the parallel-twin 650cc engine from the Interceptor 650.

Deliveries of Hero Karizma XMR – 

Hero MotoCorp has also confirmed that the deliveries of the new Karizma XMR will begin this month. The new Hero Karizma XMR was launched at an introductory price of Rs 1,72,900(ex-showroom, Delhi).

More affordable Bajaj Chetak spied – 

To capture a larger share in the electric mobility space, Bajaj is working on a more affordable version of the Chetak electric scooter. The test mule was spied recently with a new swing-arm and hub-mounted electric motor. 

New colours for Yamaha FZ-S – 

Japanese two-wheeler giant introduced two new paint schemes for its best-seller Yamaha FZ-S 150cc commuter – Matte Black and Dark Matte Blue for Rs 1.29 lakh(ex-showroom, Delhi).
