Triumph Speed 400 Launched At An Extremely Affordable Price

Alongside the retro roadster, the Scrambler 400 X has also been unveiled.

The Triumph Speed 400 has finally been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 2.33 lakh, which can be even lower at Rs 2.23 lakh for the first 10,000 buyers. Its rivals, including the KTM 390 Duke, Honda CB300R, BMW G 310 R, and Zontes GK350, are all undercut by the Speed 400. Both the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X come with a 398cc engine, offering quite impressive output figures. More details about it here:

The bikes have a mileage of 28.3kmpl and share similar underpinnings. The India-spec bikes have different tyres compared to the international models. The India-spec bikes are heavier due to the standard accessories required in India. Here’s what the exact different in weights is:

The bikes also come with a 16,000km service interval and a two-year unlimited mileage warranty. 

Although lacking Bluetooth connectivity, the bikes are still highly capable for everyday commuting and touring. The Speed 400 will be available in July, while the Scrambler 400 X will arrive in October. Triumph plans to expand to 100 dealers in 80 cities by March 2024. 

The pricing of the Speed 400 is highly competitive, offering great value for money compared to its rivals and even outperforming the Harley-Davidson X440 in terms of power and premium features. A detailed review of the Speed 400 will be available on July 14.
