TVS Apache RTX 300 deliveries begin: India gets new 300 cc adventure tourer

by | 3 Dec 2025

The much-anticipated TVS Apache RTX 300 has officially begun deliveries in India — making it the first 300 cc-class adventure-touring bike from TVS Motor Company. With an attractive starting price and modern features, the Apache RTX 300 marks TVS’s entry into the mid-capacity ADV segment.

Engine & Performance

Under the hood, the Apache RTX 300 uses a newly developed 299.1 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine (RT-XD4). This motor produces 35.5 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a bi-directional quickshifter, allowing smooth upshifts and downshifts without clutch input — a handy tool during spirited riding or touring. Such output makes RTX 300 one of the most powerful bikes in TVS’s lineup after the RR 310.

For riders, the result is a versatile performance: enough punch for highway overtakes, yet manageable for city commuting.

Chassis & Handling

The Apache RTX 300 sits on a trellis frame designed to balance agility and stability. Suspension duties are handled by an upside-down (USD) front fork and a mono-shock at the rear — configuration that delivers good compliance over uneven roads, making it well-suited for both touring and rough urban roads.

Complementing the setup is a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel pair (with dual-sport tyres), giving the bike the right mix of road grip and light off-road ability. The semi-upright ergonomics, raised handlebars and a stepped two-piece seat enhance comfort for long rides — a boon for adventure-touring riders.

Technology & Features

On the electronics and features front, Apache RTX 300 brings modern equipment seldom seen at its price point. It offers a 5-inch TFT display that supports turn-by-turn navigation. Riders also get four ride modes (Rain, Urban, Tour, Rally), switchable traction control, cruise control and dual-channel ABS.

Design-wise, it wears a semi-faired body with twin LED headlamps, muscular tank, a transparent windscreen, split-pillion grab-rail with luggage rack, and an upswept exhaust — giving it an aggressive yet touring-ready presence. For those keen on long rides, there are optional accessories — like pannier mounts, tank protectors, and luggage combos — to boost practicality.

Pricing & Delivery Status

The bike is offered in three variants: Base, Top and BTO (Built-to-Order). The introductory ex-showroom Delhi price starts at ₹1.99 lakh and goes up to ₹2.29 lakh (BTO). Deliveries have commenced — the first batch has been handed over to customers in Bengaluru, with rollout to other cities following in a phased manner.

Target Rider & Use Case

The Apache RTX 300 is ideal for riders seeking a premium yet affordable entry into the adventure-touring segment — students, young professionals, or weekend-tour enthusiasts who want a capable bike without overspending. Its mix of decent power, comfort-focused ergonomics, modern electronics and touring-friendly chassis make it a well-rounded daily commuter and highway tourer both.

The Apache RTX 300 delivers an enticing value proposition: a 300 cc adventure-touring machine from a trusted Indian manufacturer, loaded with modern features, sensible pricing, and ready to conquer both city roads and long-distance journeys. For anyone looking to step into the ADV world without spending big, the RTX 300 stands out as a compelling option.
