Weekly Rewind: Honda CB350 Launch To Spying Of Bajaj CT150X And Trial Run Of Ather’s New Variant

A new motorcycle launch and new upcoming two-wheelers spied on test – the Indian two-wheeler industry saw quite some action last week. 

  • Honda launched the new CB350 at a starting price of Rs 2.00 lakh. 
  • New Pulsar P125 and a CT125X-based 150cc commuter from Bajaj Spied on test.
  • A new family-oriented electric scooter from Ather was also seen during its trial run. 

The last week might have been silent for the automotive world in terms of new product launches, but we also saw a few happenings that can cause quite a stir in the days to come. This week, Honda made a silent move in its rivalry with Royal Enfield, while a few new upcoming products were spied on ahead of their launch in the Indian market.

Here are all the details of the new motorcycle launched by Honda, along with the two-wheelers that were spied on trial runs:

Launch of new Honda CB350 – 

Honda launched a new motorcycle under the CB brand of neo-retro roadsters, the new CB350, at Rs 2.00 lakh, which directly takes on the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Based on the H’ness CB350, the new Honda CB350 features mild design tweaks and new colour options, while retaining the mechanicals of the former.

New Bajaj Pulsar P125 spied – 

A new variant of the new-generation P-Series Pulsar was spied on test, which is expected to be the new Bajaj Pulsar P125. Based on the bigger Pulsar P150 and P160, the new Pulsar P125 spied on test features the same design as the former two, but will get a smaller-sized 125cc engine.

New 150cc Bajaj commuter camouflaged – 

Another fully camouflaged Bajaj motorcycle spied on test last week is expected to be a new 150cc motorcycle. Going by the looks of it, the new Bajaj 150cc motorcycle is expected to be based on the currently available CT125X, indicating that it will be a rugged-looking neo-retro commuter. This new 150cc commuter motorcycle from Bajaj will directly take on the Yamaha FZ-X.

New Ather electric scooter trimcaught testing – 

The new family-oriented electric scooter from Ather Energy, which is said to be under development for quite some time now, was also spied on trial last week. As expected, this new scooter gets a more conventional design, which makes it a direct rival to the TVS iQube.
