Liger Mobility, a newly-born start-up in the electric mobility space, has come up with its first-ever offerings, the Liger X and Liger X+ electric scooters. Both these scooters were showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 and managed to pull a significant number of people with their attention-grabbing self-balancing technology. Liger Mobility will open the bookings of these two electric scooters in mid-2023, while their deliveries are expected to start by the end of 2023.

What is the self-balancing technology of Liger X and X+ all about?

Liger Mobility has showcased the industry-first self-balancing technology with the X and X+ electric scooters. It is a feature which should come in handy for riders who are new to riding two-wheelers. In this trademarked AutoBalancing technology, both the Liger X and Liger X+ can stay upright while being at standstill and during low-speed rides, without the need for the rider to put his feet on the ground.

This feature also works while the scooter is engaged in reverse mode. Once the scooter crosses a predetermined speed, the Auto Balancing feature of the Liger X and X+ can be switched off manually.

Enhancing the riding experience of these two electric scooters even more, Liger Mobility has equipped them with a ‘Learner Mode’. In this mode, the rider can limit the top speed of the scooter, while engaging the AutoBalancing feature till that speed reaches.

What are the powertrain details of the Liger X and Liger X+?

The Liger X comes with a removable battery pack, and the Liger X+ gets a fixed, non-removable battery. While the removable battery in Liger X offers a range of 60 km and takes 3 hours for a full charge, the non-removable battery in the Liger X+ gives a range of 100 km and takes 4.5 hours for a full-charge. In both scooters, the electric motor provided enables them to attain a top speed of 65 kmph.

What are the additional features offered in the Liger X and Liger X+?

The highlight of the features list of both Liger X and Liger X+ is the TFT instrument console, featuring turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Other interesting features offered in the Liger X and Liger X+ are OTA software updates, battery temperature indicator, location tracking and towing and accident alerts.
