With this, the Japanese brand has revamped almost its entire line-up for this year, making it all OBD-2 compliant.
- The Yamaha R15S now makes slightly less power but a bit more torque than before.
- Yamaha has given the R15 V4 a beautiful new colour, making it look like the Yamaha R7.
- The mechanicals of all the refreshed bikes go unchanged, except for R15S.
Yamaha has introduced a new Intensity White colour for the Yamaha R15 V4, priced at Rs 1,85,900, and two new colours for the Yamaha MT-15 V2, Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black, both priced at Rs 1,64,900. Furthermore, the Yamaha R15S now has the engine of the R15V4 and is priced at Rs 1,63,400. (All prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
Starting with the R15 V4, the fourth colour scheme here is Intensity White, which is exclusive to the R15 V4. On the tank and side panels, grey pinstripes contrast with the bright white base colour. The alloys, as well as a subtle red streak on the side panel, are a contrasting red.
Meanwhile, the MT-15 V2's two new colour schemes bring the total to six. Both colours - Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black - are reminiscent of the 'original' 2019 MT-15's two black and blue paint schemes, with the only notable difference being the subtle neon graphics on the Dark Matte Blue model's tank extension. Everything else on both variants looks the same. These two colours are Rs 4,000 cheaper than the other colour options.
However, while the Intensity White Yamaha R15 V4 comes standard with a quickshifter (as does the Racing Blue colour), the Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black Yamaha MT-15 models come with halogen indicators rather than LED units and lack Yamaha's Y-Connect smartphone connectivity module, which explains the lower price.
