The Access 125 could finally get an LED taillight

  • As for the engine, we don’t think there will be any mechanical changes
  • The 124cc engine will continue to make 8.7PS and 10Nm
  • We think the scooter could then be priced around the Rs 80,000 mark

The Suzuki Access has long held its stature as a premier 125cc scooter in India, captivating riders with its sleek aesthetics and robust performance. Its consistent presence among the top-selling scooters underscores its enduring appeal. Despite its acclaim, the Access 125 has seen minimal updates over time. However, recent developments hint at Suzuki's plans to rejuvenate the Access.

Upon release, the 2024 Suzuki Access 125 will compete with rivals such as the Hero Destini 125, Honda Activa 125, and TVS Jupiter 125.

While the details remain shrouded in mystery beneath the black wrapping, the forthcoming Access is poised to unveil significant enhancements over its predecessor. Speculations suggest a revamped rectangular headlamp cluster, boasting a slightly larger headlight cowl compared to the current model.

Suzuki is expected to retain the clean and uncluttered body panels of the current model, complemented by a flat seat and footboard, and an elongated rear mudguard. Notable additions include a front storage cubby, single-piece grab rail, exhaust heat shield, and sleek black alloy wheels.

Anticipated features for the upcoming Access 125 encompass a fully digital touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. The scooter is likely to maintain its telescopic front forks, monoshock setup, front disc, and rear drum brakes. The external fuel tank lid is expected to remain unchanged.

A significant addition to the feature set is the inclusion of hazard lights. Existing features such as a kill switch, external fuel filler lid, USB charging port, one-push central lock system, and two luggage hooks are expected to carry over.

Powering the new Access 125 will be the familiar 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, delivering 8.7PS and 10Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a CVT automatic gearbox.
