BMW Motorrad launches limited-edition G 310 RR at Rs. 2.99 Lakh

by | 26 Sep 2025

BMW Motorrad has officially launched a Limited Edition G 310 RR in India, priced at Rs. 2.99 Lakh (ex-showroom), to mark the milestone of 10,000 units sold of the standard model. This special version retains the mechanical foundations of the standard G 310 RR, but receives exclusive cosmetic upgrades and limited-unit badging, making it a collector’s choice for enthusiasts.

Engine & Performance

Under the hood, the limited edition G 310 RR remains unchanged, powered by a 312.2 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine delivering 34 bhp and 27.3 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission. BMW India states identical output as the regular version. The claimed top speed of the G 310 RR hovers around 160 km/h in sport modes. The bike features a race-tuned anti-hopping clutch for smoother downshifts and better stability under aggressive riding.

Riding modes include Track, Urban, Sport, and Rain, allowing throttle response, ABS behavior, and power delivery to adapt to different conditions.

Chassis & Handling

The Limited Edition sits on the same underpinnings as the stock G 310 RR: Ø 41 mm upside-down front forksmonoshock rear suspension, and a tubular-steel frame with aluminum swingarm. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with Michelin tyres — 110/70 at front and 150/60 at rear. The kerb weight is 174 kg, and fuel capacity is 11 litres.

For braking, a single disc on both wheels is supported by dual-channel ABS (with rear wheel lift-off protection). The handling remains agile and sharp, especially under sporty riding or track use, thanks to the balanced chassis and responsive suspension.

Technology & Features

Being a visual special edition, the changes are aesthetic — there are no mechanical or feature upgrades. The Limited Edition comes in two color schemes: Cosmic Black and Polar White, both adorned with blue and red graphics across fairings and rims. A standout detail is the ‘1/310’ badging on each fuel tank, signifying unit numbering in the 310-unit production run.

The bike retains LED headlamp, LED indicators, full-LED tail, and a fully digital instrument cluster that supports mode selection and basic ride stats. Ride-by-Wire throttle (E-Gas) remains standard. The standard warranty is 3 years / unlimited km, with optional extension up to 5 years; 24×7 roadside assistance is included.

Conclusion

The BMW G 310 RR Limited Edition is ideally suited for riders who already appreciate the standard model’s performance and dynamics but are looking for extra exclusivity and visual appeal. The core appeal lies in its limited production runcollector’s badge number, and race-inspired livery that echoes BMW’s M-performance lineage.

Mechanically, this edition offers no upgrades — for the same performance, one could opt for the regular G 310 RR at a lower cost. But for enthusiasts who place value on rarity and styling, paying the Rs. 18,000 premium over the standard model can be justified. In essence, it’s a stylish, collectible expression of a proven, race-ready 312 cc sportbike.
