Hero Electric Introduces New 2023 Optima CX 2.0, 5.0 and NYX

This is the first time a Hero Electric scooter has cost north of Rs 1 lakh. 

  • The Optima CX can give a claimed 140km of range. 
  • Prices for all the three electric scooters vary from Rs 85,000 to Rs 1.30 lakh. 
  • Its top speed, meanwhile, is restricted to 45kmph. 

Hero Electric has unveiled its all-new, smart, and connected Optima CX and NYX models. The company has unveiled three new products: the Optima CX2.0 (Single Battery), the Optima CX5.0 (Dual-Battery), and the NYX (dual-battery). The prices of these e-scooters range from Rs 85,000 to Rs 1,30,000. 

What is new in the 2023 Hero Optima?

The current Hero Electric scooter line-up includes two versions of the Optima CX e-scooters: single battery and dual battery. The CX 2.0 will now be known as the single battery model, and the CX 5.0 will be known as the dual battery pack. The NYX, on the other hand, is still referred to as the NYX.

Among the most noticeable changes are the addition of LED lights and alloy wheels. The company has also stated that these e-scooters will "usher in a new era of smart-connected transportation," which would imply that they will have Bluetooth connectivity.

With all these extra features on tap as well as better aesthetics, the scooters are now definitely a more wholesome product than before. However, in its attempt to do so, Hero Electric has surpassed the Rs 1 lakh price barrier for the first time. As a result, the company intends to enter the premium electric scooter market. 

What is the 2023 New Hero Optima price?

The three new Hero Electric scooters i.e. the Hero Optima CX2.0 price (Single Battery), and the Hero Optima CX5.0 (Dual-Battery), along with the Hero NYX (dual-battery) fall in the price bracket range of Rs 85,000 and Rs 1,30,000.

With its future products, the company may even aim to compete with industry titans such as Ather, Ola, and TVS. That said, the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro and the TVS iQube Electric are all much more premium products in almost all ways, over the Hero Electric scooters.
