India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has announced the price hike of its motorcycles and scooters. As per the company, the increase will be around one percent in the ex-showroom prices of select vehicle models.

The increase in the inflation levels, decreasing margins, and product competitiveness along with other factors forced the two-wheeler giant to hike the prices of its two-wheeler range. This was said by Hero MotoCorp in a regulatory filing on September 29.

Earlier this month, the company also filed an increase in the Hero Karizma XMR price. The new price will be effective from October 1. Hero MotoCorp earlier this month reported an increase of 6 percent in total sales at 4,88,717 tow-wheelers in the month of August 2023.

Earlier, as the promotional offer of the newly-launched Hero Karizma XMR ended, its revised price was announced at Rs 1,79,900 onwards (ex-showroom, Delhi), a Rs 7,000 hike against the old price. The price for Hero Karizma XMR will be effective from October 1 onwards.

The domestic sales of the company were recorded at 4,72,947 units against the 4,50,740 units in August last year, a 5 percent growth. On the exports front, the number of units increased to 15,770 from 11,868 units in the same period the previous year.

The bookings of Hero Karizma XMR, launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.72 lakh will close at midnight on September 30. The new booking window date will be announced soon, however with a revised price.
