Ola Electric, India's leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, recorded strong sales in March 2025 with 23,430 units registered according to Vahan portal data. The company is currently addressing a registration backlog stemming from its February transition to an in-house vehicle registration system.
March 2025 Registration Update: Clearing the Backlog
Despite the registration challenges, Ola Electric has made significant progress in clearing the backlog created during the February transition. The company reports that:
- The February backlog has been almost entirely cleared
- Daily registration volumes are steadily improving
- Remaining February and March registrations are expected to be completed in April 2025
- Operations are being scaled up to address registration issues
"We are focused on efficient execution and providing a seamless ownership experience," an Ola Electric spokesperson stated. "We will continue to provide updates as registration volumes stabilize."
The company's Gen 3 portfolio, which began deliveries in March 2025, has reportedly exceeded sales expectations. This strong demand has prompted Ola to increase production in March, with further production increases planned for April to expedite deliveries and enhance customer experience.
