The TVS Scooty Pep Plus Has Been Discontinued

Given the impending BS6 phase 2 norms, TVS has decided to stop the production of the Pep Plus, its likeable little scooter. 

• The current prices start from Rs 65,514 (ex-showroom Delhi). 
• The Scooty Pep plus is still listed on the brand’s website. 
• The tiny 87.8cc engine made a lively 5.4PS and 6.5Nm. 

The TVS Scooty Pep Plus has been discontinued due to BS6 Phase 2 emission standards. While the scooter is still listed on TVS's website, its production has ceased. It will be available at select dealerships until the Scooty’s stocks run out.

The Pep Plus was a direct descendant of the original TVS Scooty. It was one of the lightest scooters in its class, weighing 98kg. This, combined with its quick engine and small size, made it an ideal urban scooter. Because of its simplicity, the Pep Plus was easily accessible to riders of all genders.

With the traffic getting worse by the day, the scooter was a hoot to ride in the city. Its compact dimensions allowed it to fit into even the most confined parking spaces. But it's the scooter's peppy powerplant that makes the rider smile every time one rides it. 

The 87.8cc motor has been installed in the scooter’s featherweight 98kg body, making it a joy to ride. Because of this, traffic signal drags have become an exciting event, and the Pep Plus’ brisk acceleration has dented the egos of many riders on larger displacement bikes.

That said, TVS still sells the Zest 110cc scooter, a feisty little scooter, something that most of the people who’ve ridden it have liked. Its prices, meanwhile, begin from Rs 73,036. (Ex-showroom Delhi).
