Ultraviolette X47 Crossover Launched in India — Specs & Price
by | 25 Sep 2025
Ultraviolette has officially unveiled the X47 Crossover electric motorcycle in India, marking a bold step into the “crossover” / adventure-touring EV space. This new model blends street performance and multi-terrain capability while introducing radar-based safety features to the two-wheeler segment. As India’s EV landscape heats up, the X47 Crossover looks positioned to challenge both pure street bikes and rugged commuters.
Engine & Performance
The X47 Crossover draws its motor architecture from Ultraviolette’s performance lineage. It delivers about 30 kW (≈ 40.2 hp) of power and approximately 100 Nm of torque at the motor. At the wheel, torque delivery is claimed to reach up to 610 Nm via its geartrain. The sprint to 0–60 km/h is achieved in roughly 2.7 seconds, while the 0–100 km/h benchmark takes about 8.1 seconds. Its top speed is capped at 145 km/h.
Two battery pack options are offered: a 7.1 kWh pack giving ~211 km IDC range, and a 10.3 kWh pack delivering ~323 km IDC range.
Chassis & Handling
While the X47 shares certain architectural DNA with Ultraviolette’s F77 model, it receives its own cast aluminum frame and reinforced sub-structure to better handle varied terrain. The ergonomics favor upright riding, with a higher handlebar and relaxed posture suited for both city navigation and rough roads. Ground clearance is about 200 mm to better manage ruts and uneven surfaces. Suspension includes a front fork setup and rear monoshock system (typical of modern dual-purpose bikes). Braking is handled via dual discs front and rear with dual-channel ABS, and ride-aids like four levels of traction control and 9 levels of regenerative braking are onboard.
Technology & Features
Where the X47 stands apart is in radar-based ADAS tech — branded “UV Hypersense.” It integrates a 77 GHz medium-range radar capable of monitoring up to 200 m, enabling features like rear collision warning, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and blind spot detection. For eyes-on control, there are dual TFT displays: one for core ride data and another dedicated to ADAS visuals and camera feed. The bike also includes dynamic stability control, switchable ABS, DTC (dynamic traction control), tow alert, connectivity features, and a built-in dual dashcam system capturing front and rear views in 1080p. A special Desert Wing edition is also available with unique styling tweaks and added rugged accessories.
Price & Market Positioning
The introductory price for the 7.1 kWh variant is ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 buyers; post that, pricing will rise to ₹2.74 lakh. The higher-capacity variant pricing will be revealed later. Bookings are open (₹999 token), with deliveries starting October 2025. In just 24 hours, it crossed 3,000 bookings, prompting Ultraviolette to extend the early-bird price to the first 5,000 customers.
In sum, the Ultraviolette X47 Crossover emerges as a bold, tech-forward machine that blends street performance with multi-terrain intent. With radar-enabled ADAS, dual displays, strong motor output, and substantive range, it aims to strike a balance between everyday usability and futuristic sophistication. This bike will appeal to riders who seek both smart safety and spirited performance in a single package—commuters who don’t want to compromise, adventurers who value tech, and EV enthusiasts looking for the next leap. In the evolving Indian electric two-wheeler landscape, the X47 Crossover stakes a strong claim as a versatile, future-ready ride.
