Bajaj has introduced the new Chetak Urbane electric scooter in India at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant expands the company's EV range with a more powerful motor for better performance. The classy Bajaj Chetak e-scooter competes with the likes of TVS iQube, Ather 450, and others in the segment.

What does the Chetak Urbane offer?

The Urbane version of the Chetak is focused on urban commuting. It retains the familiar retro-inspired design but gets upgrades like a 3 kW electric motor. This helps it accelerate from 0-40 km/h nearly a second faster at just 3.9 seconds.

The boost in performance also brings the top speed up to 95 km/h. The IP67-rated battery pack maximizes usability with 90 km of range on a full charge. Feature additions like Bluetooth connectivity, tyre puncture repair kit and enhanced connectivity via the Chetak app also give the Urbane variant an edge over rivals.
