However, despite its premium looks, the Mavrick 440 comes with a price tag that is sure to appeal to budget-conscious riders.

Pricing and Variants

Hero MotoCorp has unveiled three variants of the Mavrick 440, catering to different budget segments. The base variant, priced at Rs 1.99 lakh, offers a minimalist yet stylish ride with spoked wheels and a single color option – white. The mid-variant, priced at Rs 2.14 lakh, adds alloy wheels and two color choices, while the top-spec variant, priced at Rs 2.24 lakh, comes with Bluetooth connectivity and diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Bookings and Deliveries

Bookings for the Hero Mavrick 440 are now open, with customers required to pay a token amount of Rs 5,000. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on April 15, 2024. In a bid to attract early adopters, Hero MotoCorp is offering a kit of accessories and merchandise worth Rs 10,000 for all bookings made before March 15, 2024, as per the manufacturer's website.

Powertrain and Performance

Under the hood, the Mavrick 440 packs a 440cc, air-/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 26 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 36 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. While the peak torque is slightly lower than the Harley-Davidson X440, Hero MotoCorp claims that 90 percent of the torque will be available from as low as 2,000 rpm, promising a smooth and responsive ride. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable riding experience.

Competition and Value Proposition

With its competitive pricing, the Hero Mavrick 440 will go head-to-head with established players in the entry-level cruiser segment, such as the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Classic 350, Honda CB350, and the newly launched Jawa 350. Despite being the most expensive motorcycle in Hero MotoCorp's lineup.
