When the Bajaj Pulsar 250 hit the market a few years ago, it came with lofty expectations. Despite its notable features, the bike didn't capture the market as strongly as Bajaj anticipated. However, in 2024, Bajaj has undertaken significant revisions to the Pulsar N250. Let's delve into the top five highlights of this overhauled model.
2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 Design
The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 makes a bold statement with its revamped design, addressing a key customer concern regarding street presence. Sporting vibrant colours, striking graphics, a robust 37mm USD fork, and a wider 140-section rear tyre, the N250 exudes visual dominance. Standout features like the muscular tank, LED projector lights, and streamlined tail section further enhance its aesthetic appeal. Available in Red, Black, and White, the N250 ensures a diverse range of style options.
And as for the fit and finish levels, they are hands down the best we have ever seen on a Bajaj Pulsar. Yes, over a period of time you might see some paint fade as well as some of the stickering coming off, but the levels are far better than what we have seen on some of the previous generation Pulsars like the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 or even the Pulsar RS200. So if a good looking and well finished bike is what you are looking for, the Puslar N250 is very hard to beat in this segment.
2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 Features
Equipped with a plethora of modern features, the N250 sets a new standard in its segment. A cutting-edge digital display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation caters to tech-savvy riders. Bajaj has also introduced a traction control system, detecting wheel slip and momentarily adjusting power delivery for enhanced rider control. The dual-channel ABS system comes with three mode settings—Rain, Road, and Sport—adapting ABS intervention levels to different riding conditions.
2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 Engine
Specifications | Bajaj Pulsar N250 |
---|---|
Engine | 249.07cc single-cylinder 2-valve air/oil-cooled |
Maximum Power | 24.5PS |
Maximum Torque | 21.5Nm |
Transmission | 5-speed |
Powering the Pulsar N250 is a potent 249cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine, delivering 24.1bhp and 21.5Nm of torque. Paired with a five-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch, this refined powerplant strikes a balance between performance and fuel efficiency. Tested to perfection, it offers impressive performance across various riding scenarios.
What we were blown away by was the N250’s refinement. The engine is a supremely smooth one, even if you are really revving it out and pushing it to its limits. Yes, the loud engine that sounds so nice in the city does feel a bit too loud out on the highway at high cruising speeds, but the bike feels very very smooth. And that is something that we have again, not really seen on Pulsars since a long time. In fact, we would say that the refinement levels are the best in the segment, even better than the Japanese bikes like the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and miles ahead of the Pulsar’s KTM siblings.

Rear brake | 230mm |

Beneath its striking exterior, the N250 boasts a sturdy tubular steel frame, complemented by a responsive USD fork and a monoshock setup. The USD fork promises enhanced rigidity and superior front-end feedback, elevating the bike's handling prowess. With 17-inch wheels and disc brakes on both ends, the N250 ensures optimal stability and braking performance.
Despite being a relatively sporty bike, the N250’s riding posture and suspension setup both feel quite comfortable. So even in that way, it feels like the N250’s overall setup is tuned towards comfort and practicality a lot more than outright sportiness. So again, the N250’s commuter genes are quite visible. So if you want something a lot sportier, you might want to look towards the Suzuki Gixxer 250, the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 or even the KTM 250 Duke.
That said, if you are looking for something that really strikes a nice balance between sportiness and comfort, we don’t think anything in this segment nails it better than this Pulsar.
