TorkKratos Electric Scooter Spotted Testing

Pune-based EV startup Tork Motors' upcoming electric scooter was spotted testing near Pune this week. Christened the TorkKratos, the e-scooter will slot in as the flagship offering from the manufacturer. The test mule reveals key details including a muscular, sharp design language with aggressive styling elements.

The Kratos electric scooter is expected to come with a range of over 100km on a single charge along with fast charging support. Top speed is pegged at 100kmph while the electric motor could churn out around 10kW max power output. Tork will be targeting the likes of Ather 450X and Ola S1 Pro with its new high-speed e-scooter.

Royal Enfield Trademarks Guerilla 450 Name

Royal Enfield has trademarked the name 'Guerilla' fueling speculation around a new 450cc motorcycle. The Guerilla 450 is expected to be an adventure tourer model that will accompany the existing Himalayan in RE's portfolio.

Power could come from a 450cc, single-cylinder engine tuned for torque and off-road riding. The upcoming Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 is also likely to feature long travel suspension, spoked wheels, and dual-purpose tires indicative of its adventure intent. Pricing will be on the premium side positioning the motorcycle above the Hunter 350.

Triumph Motorcycles Announces Discounts on Speed Twin

In a bid to boost year-end sales, Triumph Motorcycles India has introduced discounts on its Modern Classic range. The attractive deals are being offered through the brand's Freedom Bonanza scheme valid till December 31, 2023.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 sees maximum benefits of up to ₹1 lakh including a cash discount of ₹40,000. There are also attractive finance schemes wherein customers can avail the Speed Twin at an EMI of ₹9,999 per month. Given its timeless appeal and strong performance, the Speed Twin 1200 makes for an appealing proposition especially with these discounts.

TVS Metro Electric Scooter Launch Soon

TVS Motor Company showcased the concept Metro electric scooter at the Auto Expo 2018. Now after over four years, it looks like the production version is finally ready to hit the market. Spy shots reveal a production-ready test mule that looks similar to the concept featuring a retro design.

The upcoming TVS Metro electric scooter will target daily city commuting and is expected to deliver a range of over 100km per charge. An official launch is likely to take place in early 2024. TVS could aggressively price the Metro EV targeting an ex-showroom tag of Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 80,000 in order to take on electric scooters from Bajaj, Ola Electric and Ather Energy.

Yamaha Trademarks Neo's Brand Name

Japanese auto major Yamaha has trademarked the 'Neo's' name hinting at an upcoming 125cc scooter for India. The scooter could be targeted at young buyers featuring funky, youthful styling and colors.

Not many details are available currently but expect a 125cc engine, features such as LED headlamps and digital instrumentation when the Yamaha Neo's launches in India. Competition will include the likes of Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125 and TVS Ntorq 125.
